At last, after 15 long months of cancelled service, we are back in business. Because the legal requirement for social distancing will be removed on 19 July, we are able to resume our normal scheduled services from 26 July, allowing a week’s grace just in case the Government has a change of heart!
All our drivers, including four new ones, are eager to get back behind the wheel, take you all to the places you want to go, and get you back safely. There are no changes at all to our routes and times but we have designed bright new timetables to suit the new start.
It is unlikely that the wearing of masks on buses generally will be compulsory but for your safety and those of our drivers, we would ask that you wear yours whilst on board – there will be a supply of masks available should you need one. And there will be hand sanitizer available for you to use when boarding the bus.
Because outings and group uses usually attract a full bus, we’ve decided not to run them for the time being. We’ll wait to see how our scheduled services pan out and what affect the removal of all restrictions has on the rate and severity of Covid infections.
As I look around Princes Risborough, it is good to see how few business have fallen by the wayside because of the pandemic and how many new ones have sprung up to take their place. The town is a great place for shopping and socialising, and for connecting to bus & train services further afield. So do make use of our bus. For those with concessionary fare cards all journeys are free, for those without cards the fare is much lower than Arriva’s. And remember, children under 16 travel for free.
