Many thanks for arranging our outing to College Lake Nature Reserve last Wednesday which happened to be the hottest day of the year so far! We all enjoyed the visit despite the heat and your lady driver was excellent.
We look forward to using the Community Bus again.
Best wishes
I would just like to say a huge thank you to Risborough Area Community Bus. My son recently hired the bus to take him and some friends to his school prom. What an excellent service we received from start to finish. The bus was sparkling the driver was great and he even put bunting up inside. The boys had an amazing time and at a bargain price. Thank you very much for making the boys experience very special.
The Risborough Rangers football team and Management have all stated that they really appreciated the away support that turned up regularly on the Community Bus. We are lucky to be the only Club in the South Midlands Football League to have this luxury at present. With both organisations growing, this venture has really captured the imagination of our town.
I just wanted to say thanks for such a great service. My young son has never been on a bus and was very excited when he saw one on the High Street. I explained to the driver, as Samuel peeked into the bus, we then decided to pay our fare and go on a little journey. I am afraid I did not get the drivers name but it was about 12.50 today, he is a credit to you and I will certainly be using the service again and telling residents in Bledlow Ridge all about it too.
Kind regards
We joined one of the organised outings (the first we had done) on a narrowboat on the Aylesbury Canal, from the Aylesbury Basin. The trip goes along the Aylesbury Arm of the Grand Union Canal, through two locks which have to be operated manually, to the Circus Field Basin just after the Oakfield Road Bridge where the boat turns around and heads back to the Aylesbury Basin. The trip takes about 1½ hours at a leisurely 3 or 4 mph. Guests on the boat are invited to help with opening and closing lock gates. Thoroughly recommend this outing – Great fun!
Martyn Timberlake, Roy’s son in law, has told us that the bus gave him independence, access to the town and facilities farther afield; also social life and interaction which would otherwise not have been possible. To travel just that short distance into town and engage in a bit of banter would be the highlight of his day – unless of course, it was a Saturday, his beloved Arsenal won and his pick of the horses fleeced Mr Coral!
We use the Princes Risborough Community Bus each week to go to a baby class in Longwick. It is very convenient and reliable, especially easy to get my pushchair on and off. The drivers are friendly, and helpful making sure that the pushchair is safe and secure.
Just a quick note of thanks on behalf of everyone at Whiteleaf and Cadsden Residents’ Association and our 20 passengers for helping us to make our evening such a success.
You did a great job managing the double run there and back. It certainly made the evening a lot more sociable for everyone by using the community bus. Your team do a fantastic job serving our local community and not only helping people get from A to B but bringing people together too.
I would just like to thank all involved with RACB for our enjoyable trip to the races, I know a good time was had by all concerned. Our driver was extremely obliging and courteous on our journeys to and from Windsor.
I am sure most of the party will go again next year, so I will try & book the bus again nearer the date in 2017.
Kind Regards
